Whether it’s a classical love story, a tragedy or that feeling you have for a child, pet or loved one; it is without doubt one of the most beautiful and powerful emotions. It has started wars, ended generational conflicts, saved lives and brought us to here. My father was involved in the nonviolence and nuclear disarmament movements when I was a child. He had a quote that I think was from the Nuremberg trials on a wall at home. “The opposite of love is fear, not hate; no mater what example I give myself the above is true”, this quote has stayed in my mind for many years. I’ve tried to find its source as I can’t remember who said it but I’ve never found it. Regardless, it’s a reminder to us all that love is powerful and that hate isn’t as powerful as we might sometimes believe; well as long as we don’t feed it.
In any case, of the numerous adventures we can embark on, love is the most accessible and greatest adventure there is.
Love to you.
